Work Challenges

Life for all of us has the potential to be very difficult, we carry with us in our journey through life a mix of strengths and frailties.

We are influenced by our past, our relationships and the challenges we face.

 Counselling Aims To Help You:

- Know yourself better

- Know how to be more compassionate to yourself

- Explore unknown positive aspects

- Increase your understanding of you

- Knowledge of strategies to manage life and symptoms

- Manage unwanted emotions

- Manage change

- Manage difficult work environments

- Be more compassionate of yourself

- Have aids to make peace with any loss.

Counselling Offers A Way Forward, It Allows:

A space to talk, to think, be heard and to be understood.

The opportunity to heal, to see oneself with more compassion.

To learn that you have much more good than you may have thought.

Encounter life's challenges with greater skills and knowledge.

Psychodynamic counselling put simply, recognises the role of the unconscious and how it influences our behaviour.

The Purpose Of Counselling:

Much of the purpose of counselling is for you to discover and learn more about and to understand yourself better, “why do I do what I do”.

With this comes greater freedom and release from conflict to travel forward with increased understanding.

A psychodynamic approach is the systematised knowledge and theory of human behaviour. It recognises the role of the unconscious and how it influences our behaviour, it explores the past and its influence upon us.

How Your Counselling Will Work:

1.

Please feel free to contact me directly by email, this is checked regularly.

I aim to reply within 24 hours.

2.

In our first conversation, it would help to tell me a little bit about what has prompted the inquiry.

Together we can decide if 6-12 sessions would work or to consider something longer term.

3.

You decide when you feel ready to end.

Together we review your progress to ensure we are working to support your needs.

The First Session:

The first session is an opportunity to see if you are comfortable with me, do you feel understood and listened to.

Can we work together?

I am very happy to answer any questions you might have.

The cost is £55.00 per session and concessions are available.

Each session is fifty minutes long and is currently by phone, teams or zoom

I will explain to you the consent form and boundaries of confidentiality and we can discuss what has brought you to consider counselling and what you want to achieve/resolve so that we can together outline a plan.

I look forward to helping you move forward.
